I think this thing is great! I love the size, color, and texture of it ("feel in the hand"). The build quality is... 8/10? the USB-C (female) port is off-center, which means I need to put in the power supply at an angle. It's $20, so I can overlook that. Two things I cannot overlook:1. I bought this hub to use with my Switch when traveling, that way I don't need to huge dock. I also travel with an ultra-thin 10' RocketFish HDMI cable. That way I can play wherever without the worry of what the TV setup looks like (looking at you ceiling mounted projector.) The HDMI cable works with EVERYTHING, except this hub. Why? I dunno. The hub works with other HDMI cables, just not this one. I think the HDMI cable is v1.0, which could be the problem. It's petty, but it really bothers me. I ended up buying a (less thin) replacement that takes up more space in my bag. Just a word a warning to other users, your travel HDMI cable may not work with this.2. I cannot use the hub without external power. Other reviewers say they can. But when I plug in into my Switch, Laptop, or phone, the hub light doesn't turn on and the hub doesn't work.I thought these things were defects, so I replaced the hub. Same thing. 5-star product, with 2 deductions = 3-star product. Other sellers are selling this same unit on Amazon under different names, So don't be too confused when you see something that looks identical for $3 more.Enjoy! And happy gaming. :)Other than the fact you might miss it requires an external power source with USB-C interface, it works great out of the box and is much more portable than the actual Nintendo dock. Also, for my case - a Mumba Dockable Case for Nintendo Switch, [Blade Series] TPU Grip Protective Cover Case Compatible with Nintendo Switch Console and Joy-Con Controller (Black), as listed in Amazon - the USB-C from this adaptor to the Switch USB-C port didn't fit snugly until I popped it out of the case a bit. The plug from the adaptor seems to be just a hair too big to fit within the cutout on the case. It felt snug even with case on, but I tried with it snapped out of case and it must be a tighter fit without.Long as the build holds up over several months of use and very minimal travel, it's good by me. I really just want to be able to jump from one display to another within my house without the hookup/cable snaking hassle.Cheers! (quick turnaround as well!)I was looking for a microphone to do voice overs and podcast work, and this unit came across my sights. I was surprised at the build quality of this unit. I had expected a cheep plastic housing and a small actual microphone. Even though it's only about 5" tall, it looks well made and sturdy. I wouldn't be afraid to dump it into my accessory kit and worry if it would survive or not. Looks as well made as my rode camera mic. Output knob appears sturdy enough not to worry about it breaking any time soon. Sound quality is acceptable for this level of microphone, and good for voice work. I wouldn't want to use it as a music recording mic, but could be ok for some short singing clips to include in a presentation or something. It uses a standard USB connector, which works well with my windows 10 system, but doesn't come with any software, so you need a program to do your recording. Works ok with zoom. I don't have a mac, so I can't comment on that. Might work with android if you have the right adapters.First picture is the product connected to my switch, second picture is the product working correctly. I opened the package plugged everything in and I thought I set it all up correctly. However, I didn't plug in the switch's power supply in the USB-C port and after that my switch showed up on my tv! So to set it up, plug the USB-C cable that is attached to the dock to your Switch, plug in the HDMI adapter and also the switch's power supply. It may take a moment but it should work. My phone also connects to the TV as long as I have a power supply in the dock. It's nice and small about the length of my small hand(not including the attached USB-C cable) so it's very portable. As well as light weight. So far, I have no complaints whatsoever. It came packaged in a very solid little box, packaged very securely and with the main body of the hub covered in a plastic slip. Upon plugging it into my phone and connecting the Hdmi cord into the hub it mirrored my screen to my tv. Unless you have a power adapter plugged into the hub it will only be able to screen mirror, my s9+ wouldn't load or give me the option to switch to DeX if the hub didn't have an external power source, which makes sense since running DeX as well as powering the hub, as well as whatever you have connected to it, would drain your battery in no time. I plugged a wired mouse and keyboard into the hub and both were instantly connected and usable for input. I chose this model because I had purchased the basic Usb-C to HDMI adapter and was sorely disappointed by not being able to charge my phone and various other limitations that it had. So far this device has exceeded my expections in both function and price.Thankfully I have a Roku, maybe I missed something in the description but you need a plug to connect it to the TV, I was under the impression that was included but it’s very possible it was a oversight on my end. In this case, thankfully I was given a older Roku that has the needed plug. My newer Roku does not have it. The product does its job, but for being in my early 20s, I was honestly confused.. and product does not come with a little guide. Maybe I’m just awful with tech and this would be a no-brainer for others. It does look like I have messy wires and although it is more portable than a actual Switch Dock, still could be fussy on the go if you need to unplug extra wires. Now I will have to switch back and fourth between products to connect each one when desired. Just a little annoyed because I would’ve gotten a different product if I realized this. But again, it does it’s job!
