The pocket-sized ROG Clavis USB digital-to-analog converter delivers a host of features to give any compatible headset a big upgrade. Its ESS 9281 QUAD DAC with a built-in amplifier and Master Quality Authenticated (MQA) rendering technology treats you to hi-fi-grade audio, while AI noise-canceling technology enhances headset microphones for crystal-clear voice communication. ROG Clavis is made out of aluminum and features ASUS Aura Sync RGB lighting for a premium look. It includes a USB-C-to-3.5 mm jack and a bundled USB 2.0 adapter to ensure compatibility with most headphones and a host of devices. The ESS 9281 DAC features QUAD DAC technology to provide lossless audio processing. Each of its four DACs devotes processing power to a subset of the audible frequency range, across lows, mids, highs to ultra-highs. The four signals are then combined to produce clearer sound with an impressive 130 dB signal-to-noise ratio, and an integrated amplifier supports up to 300 ohms of impedance. I tried using this to improve the communications on my discord and webRTC chats. This interface added no quality to the audio. It is a complete waste of money. Half of the time I spent rebooting my machine just to make it work. This is total garbage. My friends said my microphone sounded like I was in a public toilet at the end of a tunnel. Somehow it sounded worse than a pair of headphones plugged into the front panel headset jack.
