I was annoyed when I first got this because I plugged it into my phone with an Apple certified adapter and it didn’t work. Tried again with an actual Apple brand adapter, worked perfectly! I also tried using it on an Android with a USB-C adapter and this also works. So don’t be bummed out if you try to use it with your phone with an off-brand adapter, it WILL work with an Apple brand adapter.
